Summary

A group of features developed over the summer is now generally available in all SQAI Workspaces. This release introduces Documentation Drift, the Traceability Health Map and SQAI ITM, moves license management to company level, and replaces token-based usage measurement with SQAI Credits.

New features

Documentation Drift

Documentation Drift compares your specifications against the current state of your product and flags exactly where the two have diverged.

This means divergence is surfaced continuously rather than discovered during a release review, so documentation remains trustworthy and teams continue working from a single accurate source of truth.

Traceability Health Map

The Traceability Health Map brings requirements, documentation, test cases, automation and results together in a single view.

It answers two questions directly:

• Which requirements have no tests?
• Which tests trace back to nothing?

Both are answered before a go/no-go meeting rather than during one, with the supporting evidence available in the same view.

SQAI ITM — Internal Test Management

SQAI ITM is the SQAI Suite's own fully-fledged internal test management. It is included for every SQAI user at no additional cost, with no per-seat licensing. An external test management platform is not required to organise your testing.

Native integration. Because SQAI ITM is built directly into SQAI, AI-generated test cases are written into it instantly with their requirement links already in place. There are no exports, no synchronisation step and no waiting period.

Existing external platforms remain supported. If you are already using an external test management platform, you can continue to do so — support for external platforms is maintained. Note that the richest AI experience is available natively in SQAI ITM.

License management moves to company level

Licenses are now managed at company level. They have moved up from space level.

SQAI Credits replace token-based usage

Token-based usage measurement has been replaced by SQAI Credits, making it possible to budget for AI usage predictably.

Every tier includes a standard credit allocation that covers average use.

Improvements

Automatic interrupt approval in chat

Chat can now approve interrupts automatically. When enabled, you are not prompted to confirm each interrupt individually and can stay in flow.

Error handling for unsupported file types in SharePoint

Unsupported file types in SharePoint now return a clear error message, instead of failing without feedback.

SQAI Suite v2.17 to v2.20

The SQAI platform continues to grow at a rapid pace. Across the four most recent releases, we have delivered a renewed test editing experience, secure file attachments, a new mode for maintaining existing documentation (closed beta), a comprehensively refreshed user interface, and a substantial set of improvements implemented in direct response to user feedback and feature requests.

New Test Editor

The test case editing experience within the chat has been redesigned. The previous modal has been replaced by a drawer built on the same components as the test management tool, providing a consistent experience throughout the application.

New: Secure File Attachments

Files can now be uploaded directly to chats, enabling the analysis of PDFs, spreadsheets, and documents within SQAI Suite. This feature has been designed with data protection as a core principle:

• Uploaded files are strictly isolated to the current session.
• All files are encrypted both at rest and in transit.
• Uploaded content is never used for AI training purposes.

To attach a file, select the paperclip icon in the chat bar or simply drag the file. This allows private files to be analyzed securely and without exposing them in the general Knowledge Base.

New: Documentation Update Mode (Closed Beta Only)

In response to one of our most frequent feature requests out of our beta community, existing documentation can now be updated in place rather than regenerated from scratch. Provide a URL from Confluence, Notion, GitHub, SharePoint, or another supported source, and SQAI will apply the edits directly while preserving the existing folder layout and file formats.

Improved: A Fully Refreshed User Interface

The front end has undergone a complete revamp. All buttons, margins, and components are now fully uniform across the entire application, and the overall layout has been refined to provide additional screen real estate for your work.

Improved: AI and Diagrams

• All AI tasks now run on our latest efficient modelset by default.
• Agents are now able to read diagrams that have been created, enabling richer follow-up analysis.
• Mermaid and Graphviz DOT diagrams are validated for syntax errors prior to saving, including when edits are made. (Validation for PlantUML is not yet available.)
• The guided task for test cases now supports the BDD format.

Improved: Integrations

• Azure: Azure integrations can now be configured using a client-credentials flow as an alternative to a Personal Access Token, in anticipation of Azure's planned deprecation of PATs.
• MCP: Request limits on the MCP server have been removed. As MCP requests are lightweight operations, no cap is required, allowing unrestricted integration usage.

Resolved: Based on User Feedback

• Accurate usage resets: Usage is now reset immediately at the start of each billing cycle rather than after the first chat, eliminating incorrect "quota exceeded" notifications.
• Accurate SharePoint sync statuses: When a SharePoint synchronization fails for specific files, the job is now correctly marked as failed and the affected file names are listed. Partially failed synchronizations were already reported correctly.

Changed: User Management for Administrators

The distinction between creating users and adding users to a space has been formalized:

• Company administrators create users via the Company Users page.
• Space administrators add existing users to their space.

Please note that this also applies to Partner Level Administrators. This change removes ambiguity, prevents permission-related edge cases, and is accompanied by clearer in-application messaging when an action is not available to your role.

Additional Improvements

These releases also include a range of smaller bug fixes, visual refinements, and underlying improvements — among them a new API endpoint for previewing existing documentation trees and code quality enhancements based on automated testing.
